The five double bedrooms, three boasting an ensuite bathroom, include the lovely master bedroom with king-size bed, sitting area and doors to a lovely terrace. Like the rest of the villa's interior, each bedroom has an antique style, with elegant pieces of furniture and soft colours.

Upon entering the house, you immediately notice the extreme care that the owners put into every detail, elements of furniture chosen with love. Among the trees you can see thethree-storey villa, while the private and equipped swimming pool remains in a more intimate and private position, behind the lemon house, in a point overlooking the hill and the villa itself, surrounded by bushes of lavender, strawberry tree, rosemary, broom: an explosion of colours and scents that captures all the senses.
At guests' disposal a small vegetable garden and chicken coop for vegetables and fresh eggs.

Nestled in the countryside surrounding the city of Siena, Villa Elegante is a picture of Tuscan perfection. Utter peace and seclusion are yours, and yet amenities are incredibly easy to reach. Drive through the woods and hills of the immediate area and you'll reach the historic city of Siena just 10km away.

Siena is instantly recognisable by its wealth of medieval brick buildings. The central square of Piazza del Campo is home to the Gothic town hall, Palazzo Pubblico, and the 14th-century tower called Torre di Mangia. With its historic buildings, art and museums, Siena is a true cultural hotspot and a great place for a day out. It's also where to go to stock up on groceries and enjoy meals out with the family.

Monteriggioni is another medieval marvel, with the walled town famous for its medieval fortifications and watchtowers. The views over the lush Chianti region from the castle walls that you can walk along are sweeping and glorious. Stroll along narrow, cobbled streets and soak up centuries of history, with must-visits including the Armoury Museum and the 13th-century Church of Santa Maria Assunta. If you visit the town at the beginning of July, you may catch the famous medieval festival that features costumed locals, games, falconry displays and food stalls.

This part of Tuscany is just bursting with medieval cities, towns and villages like Siena and Monteriggioni. Other highlights that are within an hour's drive include San Gimignano (33km), Lucignano (52km), Montaione (53km) and Volterra (46km). The latter is also known for its Etruscan art, with the remains of the Etruscan Acropolis and the Guarnacci Etruscan Museum well worth visiting.

Tuscany is of course also renowned for food and wine, with plenty of vineyards to visit in the area. Montalcino (49km) is famous for its Brunello wine and Montepulciano (70km) for vino nobile red. Foodies will also want to visit the town of Pienza (70km), which has been producing delicious pecorino cheese for centuries.

The iconic city of Florence (63km) can be reached by car in an hour. There's so much history and culture here. But must-sees are the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, the Uffizi Gallery and Michelangelo's David in the Accademia Gallery. For a longer day out, drive to hilltop Arezzo (80km) and explore its numerous medieval religious buildings, many of which boast stunning frescoes.
