About this space
This is our home! We’ve recently taken back hosting duties after using a property management company for the last year and are so excited to be able to now connect with our guests directly.
The River at Relton is a spacious and relaxing Mt Hood retreat, directly on the Sandy River and a short drive from the slopes. We lovingly designed this space as an escape for our family and friends and are so excited to share it with others.

The space
Our home is nestled amongst the trees right on the Sandy River, and ideally located, just 20 minutes from the slopes and 55 minutes from Portland.
With 3 bedrooms, 2 full baths, a fully-stocked kitchen, and spacious areas for relaxing and entertaining in nature, our home is perfect for 1-2 families who will appreciate having a well-appointed home away from home with modern comforts and a warm, scandi-rustic style with furniture and design elements from Pendleton, Blu Dot, CB2, Floyd, etc.
Each of the bedrooms is spacious with plenty of flexibility for sleeping and storage. On the main floor, you find a guest room with queen bed, river views, and large closet. Upstairs, the primary bedroom has a luxurious king bed, sitting area and en suite bath with jetted tub. Also upstairs, you'll find our large second guest room – featuring a split king that easily flexes to two twins, a sofa that folds down into a queen sleeper (complete with memory mattress topper for added comfort), and a small desk for any WFH needs. In the walk-in closet, you'll find a large Joovy2 pack n play for your use as well.
Back downstairs, the open-floorplan kitchen is fully equipped for cooking and hosting family meals with everything you could possibly need, from Tramotina stainless steel cookware and a Staub dutch oven, to a KitchenAid stand mixer, Nutribullet, baking supplies and everything in between. And a dishwasher and provided supplies make clean-up easy.
In the living room, we have a large, Samsung Smart TV and fast wifi for all your streaming needs, but also have a cabinet full of fun board games for lofi entertaining. A Sonos speaker is available and easy for any guest to hop on via wifi. Our overstuffed 105" comfy leather sofa easily fits four sitting adults (or two napping ones!), but the best seat(s) in the house is the custom, Pendleton wool upholstered window seat overlooking the river. **Please no unsupervised children on this bench, as the windows open from the bottom and could pose a fall risk.**
The home is centrally heated and is easily controlled by Nest Thermostat, but also has a propane fireplace in the open living room for instant cozy vibes. The vaulted ceilings and two-story windows invite nature in, while French doors open to a spacious, elevated deck overlooking the river with outdoor grilling and dining, along with a sitting area with propane firepit, perfect for apre-ski/dinner/anything cocktails.
A short walk down the path and you'll find an even more magical setting at the river. Four Adirondack chairs surround a natural firepit for roasting s'mores with the river rushing below, under a starry night sky with solar-powered string lights hung in the trees for added ambiance.

Please no food or drinks upstairs – the carpet is wool berber and will incur extra costs if damaged.
