Cute little 600 square foot 1920 cottage completely remodeled in 2016. 3 person maximum occupancy. Porqupine cottage is located 15 miles from the town of Tillamook and the Delicious Tillamook Creamery. The cottage is on 2 acres of meadow and trees with direct access to the Trask River at the back of our meadow. This is a wonderful place to relax, enjoy the cozy woodstove, go fishing, hiking, mountain biking or just stay in and enjoy reading one of the many books provided. Starlink satellite WiFi is provided in the cottage and averages 90-120 mbps. Cell phones connected to Starlink can be used to make and receive calls as there’s no landline phone here. Swimming is great during the summer and 2 float tubes are provided along with beach towels. One bedroom one bath, with a queen bed in the bedroom and a twin sleeper sofa in the living room. The cottage is 3 person maximum occupancy. Kitchen has a small countertop oven/air fryer oven and is equipped with full size refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, lg 4slice toaster, 2 hot plates, electric griddle and skillet and a crockpot. There is a gas BBQ and dining area on your private deck. Pots and fry pans along with mixing bowls, knives, dishes, utensils, glasses and cups provided. The meadow has a children’s play structure, horse shoe pits , 3 picnic tables and a fire pit area. We supply all the firewood both in the cottage and at the fire pits for your stay along with hotdog roasting sticks. We do live next to the cottage in a converted barn and enjoy meeting guests who want to visit, otherwise you have all the privacy you want. There is room for a vehicle pulling a boat to turn around in the east meadow. We do have a friendly male Newfoundland named Seamas and a female Newfoundland puppy who loves meeting new people and their pet. We do keep them with us when outside. During summer months if you enjoy gardening, I’ll happily loan you gloves, clippers, hoe, trowel or whatever you’d like to work in the garden. Guests are welcome to harvest seasonal veggies and berries from the garden. We allow one pet with a $50 pet fee ( 1 dog, minimum 1 year old non aggressive, healthy, clean, well behaved with short clipped toe nails) owner must provide proof of up to date rabies shots and full canine vaccinations report by sending photos of veterinarian copies through VRBO messenger to host asap when Cottage is booked. The pet requirements are not negotiable and are required if it’s a service dog also. We want our 2 dogs and future guests dogs to stay healthy while at the cottage.
