Summary: The hotel is dull throughout the building. Dark colours interior. The building looks lovely from the outside. But old and uncool on the inside. The was a strong ‘sewage’ smell in my room and I had a headache everyday. I didn’t complaint as the Italian service is usually very poor towards foreigners . I stayed quite and enjoyed the view - that’s all worth it … but having said that many others hotels have a great sea view too. It is overpriced for what it offers. There is not even a bar or room services in the offer; no fresh squeezed orange juice at breakfast, the breakfast room has not sea view it is small and hasn’t got a relaxing atmosphere and what I really did not appreciate the most was when I was going to dinner at night and it was 300 metres from the hotel (1 minute driving) the hotel member offered a kind of personal taxi services to drive me at the extra cost of 50 euros … 1 minute driving to the Portofino splendid mare restaurant… I felt robed really ! I paid for it and he asked for another 50 euros to collect me back .. of course I have taken the bus and paid 5 euros for the journey … I felt extraordinary extorted! Never more.
