Summary: Unfortunately we did not enjoy our entire stay. Lido di Camaiore as an area was nice and quiet, if you want more action head to Viareggio. We arrived to the hotel and there was nobody there, had to call 3 different numbers and wait 40mins for someone to arrive even though it states in web that they have the reception open whole day. During our stay we saw someone sitting behind the desk only once and then i was able to comment about the ants in our room and the girl, who was very helpful, came and cleaned the area next to the door where most of the ants were at that moment. After that the ants started wandering in other parts of the room and we tried not to mind about those too much and kept all the food in the fridge and kept our stuff up from the floor but on our last day the situation was really bad and there were hundreds of ants and when our 1year old baby walked on the floor his feet were covered by ants (babies smell sweet and attract ants) and it was disgusting and we just wanted to leave the room quickly before check out. Ofc there wasnt anybody at the front desk and had to call the different numbers again and they sent the cleaning lady to serve us. I showed her the video of the ants in the room and she accused of our dog.. and we even paid 30euros extra for the dog cleaning fee (thats common extra fee) but because she did not speak any english and our italian is bit rusty we did not get any compensation for the room and we just wanted to get away from there asap.
