Hidden behind the hedge and beyond the gate, you’ll find a private garden that leads you to a charming Guest Suite featuring Pacific Northwest Craftsmanship throughout. An inviting light filled living room and cozy bedroom are balanced comfortably with a large bathroom. A compact-essentials only kitchenette rounds out this cottage suite. If you are fortunate you may experience the sounds of the Oregon rain pattering against the beautiful hand-crafted skylights or enjoy a morning in a sun dappled garden full of flowers and dragonflies . Comfortably sleeping 1 to 4 people (utilizing a Queen air mattress in the LR), we are family friendly and would love to host you.
Some things to know:
The unit has electric wall heaters in the LR/Kitchentte and in the Bedroom. The bathroom has 2 separate heat lamps. It heats quickly and efficiently especially when using the ceiling fan to help direct the flow. We will do our best to monitor weather conditions so that you will arrive to a comfortable space.
The ceiling fan has a remote control located next to the front door on the wall. You may use the fan only by pressing the light button in the top left corner until it cycles off. If it is not working, the switch under the T.V. may have been turned off. Just switch it up.
The television has Netflix pre-installed on the remote. Please use the “Hideaway Hedge Guest” profile. It also has Amazon Prime - but that can be intermittent at best.

Board games, books, puzzles, cards and other activities can be found in the square rattan table/chest under the T.V. You may open it from the front or top. Feel free to move it to use as a game table in the LR space.
The Queen air mattress and bedding/pillows are located in the Armoire in the bedroom. It has a self contained pump and plug for inflation and deflation.
The watercooler has three options: Hot, cold or cool. Please be mindful that hot is very hot. An additional water bottle is located behind the door in the restroom. If the installed bottle requires refilling, please feel free to contact us to reload unless you are familar with the task.
The bedroom has a diffuser/white noise/nature sound on the bedside table and there are a selection of essential oils on the shelves. Please feel free to enjoy them both.
The bathroom also has a diffuser on the shelves you are welcome to use.
There are three switches in the bathroom - they control the over heads lights, heat lamps and exhaust fans separately.
Water will occasionally get outside of the shower on the floor. Please be mindful, don’t slip and feel free to scoot the bathmat where it works best.
There are additional doors in the LR and Bathroom that are locked from both sides and completely blocked off.
Parking for the Suite is located directly in front of the gate - there are two spots. Stay right of the bike path
The Hideaway Hedge Guest Suite is attached to our home. We are a mature couple with pets (Rocco the doggo and Piccolo the cat, and our very own #chickchockflock) and a fairly quiet lifestyle - unless you count Football or Soccer seasons. We will always try to be mindful but you may hear ambient sounds - and trust it should cause you no issues.
And finally a full disclosure - the Suite is located on a somewhat well travelled one way street and while you are fully secluded behind the hedge in a lovely enclosed space - you will most likely hear occasional traffic noises. We have done our best to sound proof the suite, including above mentioned bedroom “noise machines” but cannot stop the zoom-zoomers. We hope that you find all of the extra special touches a balance to any inconvenience you may experience.
