At about 150 miles from Portland, Waldport offers peace and tranquility, surrounded by ocean-front state parks and the Siuslaw National Forest to the east. The Alsea River flows into the ocean right at Waldport and offers fishing and boating opportunities and crabbing right from the Alsea Bay Bridge. Restaurants include everything from pizzerias to seafood grills, with galleries and shops dotting the streets along downtown Waldport.
