We welcome you to our cozy cottage in the woods. It is located 2 miles from the visitor center of DuPont State Forest and just across Dupont Road from REEB Ranch. We are 8.5 miles from the entrance to Pisgah National Forest. The Cottage at DuPont is perfect for a weekend away or a place to hang after you ride the trails. The cottage is above our detached garage and has it's own private entrance. You may hear my husband or my kids open a garage door but beyond that the cabin is all yours. We do have a security camera outside of the cottage to see who comes into the driveway.
The Cottage at DuPont is craftsman style with reclaimed wood floors. You will love how at home you feel the moment you step inside. You will enjoy a full kitchen, small kitchen table, Keurig, sofa, TV, separate bedroom, with large closet and full bathroom.
We ask that you park at the end of the driveway by the basketball goal. If you are loading/unloading, the weather is bad, or arriving late at night it is ok to park by the cottage door. Please do not park in front of our garage doors as we use our garage.
We have a very large, fluffy dog. His name is Choco. As of summer 2021 he will be 1 year old. Hey may bark but Choco has no enemies. He has never met a person or animal he doesn't like. He's very friendly and would not hurt a soul. We NEVER let him in the cottage. We generally make sure Choco is not outside when guests are outside, but on occasion he finds people.
