Summary: GianCarlo and his wife were very welcoming. We didn´t know that there weren´t any restaurants in this small town, and they saw the situation we were in so they offered us some pasta and gave us a fresh loaf of Tuscan bread. The view from their house is amazing, you see all of the forest covered mountains. This house is in Tuscany, but it is not in the classic Tuscan hills area. It is only about a half hour away from Lucca and about an hour from Pisa. If you plan on staying here, stop at a grocery store and pick up something to cook, because there is no market or little stores, there is only a coffee bar that doesn´t sell food for a proper dinner, maybe just some potato chips. If you don´t have food, then you will have to travel on the winding mountain road to the next town about 20 min away to get something to prepare for dinner.
