The House:
Welcome to Betty's Place! Originally built in 1942 and recently updated throughout, our beach house is truly unique -- full of vintage charm, beautiful wood, and many wonderful memories.
Upstairs you'll find two main bedrooms, a cozy breakfast / game nook, dining/kitchen area, a full bathroom, and an open living space stocked with games, puzzles, and a wood burning fireplace for those rainy winter days.
Downstairs there are two additional bedrooms (one with a queen, and one with a twin daybed that can convert into a king), a tv room with 72 inch smart tv and pullout couch, and a full bathroom with private 4-person wet sauna. The washer/dryer is located in the bedroom with the daybed.
For those traveling with little ones, you will also find a pack’n play, high chair, and baby gate available for your use.
Outside there is a recently added deck with a 6-person HOT TUB! (Pictures forthcoming) In addition, there is a bbq for the grill masters, a propane fire pit for roasting mallows, and a koi pond with three giant (but shy) goldfish.
The Beach:
If you love the beach, you will love Arch Cape! Located 10 minutes south of Cannon Beach and 10 minutes North of Manzanita, it's far enough from the crowds to feel like you have the whole beach to yourself, but close enough for a quick trip to town for anything you need. If you're feeling adventurous and want to stretch your legs a bit, the walk from Arch Cape to Hug Point is approximately 2 miles up the sand.
The forest:
The Oregon Coast would not be the Oregon Coast without its lush, green, mossy forests. Take a quick 5 minute drive up the road to Oswald State Park and link up with the Oregon Coast Trail, with miles of beautiful forest and coastal trails.
Betty’s Place is a charming beach cabin that has been lovingly remodeled many times through the years, and might be described as “quirky” and “unique.” We think this “vintage charm” is what makes our beach home wonderful.
